A major security breach shook the Lok Sabha on Wednesday afternoon, marking the 22nd anniversary of the infamous Parliament terror attack. This attack, back in 2001, claimed the lives of nine individuals, including eight security personnel, sending shockwaves through India.
The breach happened amidst a threat issued by Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, who had warned of an attack on Parliament. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla had earlier paid tribute to the victims of the 2001 attack.

At 1:02 pm, chaos unfolded in the Lok Sabha when a man jumped from the visitors' gallery into the chamber, with a second person remaining in the gallery. Both individuals deployed canisters emitting yellow smoke. A video circulating online shows the intruder leaping over desks to avoid capture.Concerns have been raised by lawmakers about the breach, emphasizing the potential toxicity of the smoke. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has promised a thorough investigation.
MP Danish Ali revealed that a visitor's pass, recovered after the scuffle, was issued by BJP MP Pratap Simha's office. However, it's crucial to note that regardless of the issuing MP's office, visitors must clear five security levels before entering Parliament.
Congress MP Karti Chidambaram expressed concern about the gas's potential toxicity, calling for a comprehensive investigation. He initially thought someone had fallen from the gallery before realizing it was a security breach.

Two individuals, a man and a woman, were detained outside Parliament with colored smoke canisters that exploded, releasing red and yellow smoke.
